Assistant Professor in Condensed Matter Physics
Drexel University
The Department of Physics at Drexel University invites applications for a tenure-track position in condensed matter physics. Although appointment at the Assistant Professor level is anticipated, a higher rank may be considered for an exceptional candidate. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong record of research accomplishments, the potential for establishing a significant externally funded research program, and a strong interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Although candidates from all fields of condensed matter are welcome, we are particularly interested in the areas of nanophotonics and plasmonics, low temperature physics, multiferroics and nanocarbon materials. Applications should include a letter of application, curriculum vitae, list of publications, names of at least three references, and statements of research and teaching interests. Several representative publications may also be included. Applications may be submitted to Human Resources at www.drexeljobs.com (Req. #3297). Priority will be given to applications received by December 25, 2009. Applicants should arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to:
