Participants must book their hotels by Monday, February 26th. Those that register for the meeting by that date will have a $55 registration fee. After Monday, February 26th, it will increase to $60. These Sloan Digital Sky Survey Collaboration Meetings are typically held twice a year in the Spring and Fall and rotate between the SDSS institutions. Recent meetings were in Seoul, Korea; Santa Fe, NM; Portsmouth, UK; and Pittsburgh, PA. SDSS-II is formally 3 projects, the so-called Legacy Survey (which is completing the original SDSS area of sky), a Supernova survey (aimed at measuring the acceleration of the Universe), and the SEGUE survey (which is probing the distribution of stars in our own Galaxy). Traditionally the first two days of the meeting are filled with plenary science talks and updates on technical aspects of the survey. The final day is when the various science "working groups" (large-scale structure, quasars, stars, galaxies, clusters, etc.) get together in smaller groups.
